Getting Here
St. Roque’s Church is located in the heart of Valletta, Malta’s UNESCO-listed capital city, making it easy to reach by multiple means of transport.
By Bus
Valletta is the main hub of Malta’s public transport network. Numerous bus routes terminate at the Valletta Bus Terminal, just a short walk from St. Ursula Street. Check publictransport.com.mt for routes and timetables.
By Car
Parking in Valletta is limited. We recommend using the Park and Ride facility at Floriana, just outside the city gates, and walking into Valletta. St. Ursula Street is a short walk from the main city entrance through the historic City Gate.
On Foot
If you are staying in or near Valletta, the church is easily walkable. Follow St. Ursula Street β one of Valletta’s charming Baroque thoroughfares β and look for the modest faΓ§ade of St. Roque’s Church.
By Ferry
If you are coming from Sliema or the Three Cities, the Valletta Ferry Service offers a scenic and convenient crossing directly into the Grand Harbour area, a short walk from the church.
What to Expect
Orthodox worship is a rich, multi-sensory experience of prayer, incense, chant, and iconography. We warmly encourage first-time visitors to simply come as they are. Modest dress is appreciated β shoulders and knees covered as a sign of reverence.
If you have any questions before your visit, don’t hesitate to reach out to Fr. George Alexandru Popescu directly.
